Does a living trust protect the assets from a nursing home if one is placed in the Home?

Can medicare be used in a nursing home or does the assets in the living trust get extinguished first?

A person still living is still beneficiary of a "living" trust, which at that time is for their benefit. And the living person still has control over it unless judged incompetent. Even then the trustee has to provide for the benefit of the living person. So it is not protected from creditors during their lifetime.

A living trust could make someone ineligible for public aid if, that is what you are after. You can’t get public aid and your inheritance too.

Please keep to these topics Thanks!

This is new to them. They don’t even know what’s in the bill. All they know is that it’ll make Obama looks good, and that’s the last thing they want.

walmart asset protection job still a possibility?

March 18, 2010 : Posted by: admin : Category: asset protection : Comments (4) : Add Comment

I interviewed last wednesday with the coordinatior, she called me back the very next day and asked me to come back in, she introduced me to another AP guy as the hopeful "new hire- pending a background check". i signed the paperwork with the shift manager and went directly to take my drug test. i’m sure my criminal and drug test is squeeky clean, but it’s officially been 6 business days…what should i do? i don’t want to be annoying and call, i figured that i would wait until monday, but i’m worried. I really want the job because it would be a good career path because i’m in school as a criminal justice major.

It takes 3-7 working days to get results back. Also, most Managers wait until there is a certain number of new hires before doing orientation. At this time, they are doing most of their hiring for the year and I’m sure they are busy. If they drug tested you, depending on the results, you’ve got the job.

is setting up an llc important to protect assets from a judgement?

March 10, 2010 : Posted by: admin : Category: protecting assets : Comment (1) : Add Comment

I have a foreclosure coming up soon in new jersey and i was wondering if setting up an limited liability company would be a smart move to protect cash monies. i live in florida so they cant touch my house here and as head of household they cant garnish my wages. i would like to put all my money into a bank account under my LLC.does anybody have knowledge of this kind of asset protection.

If the LLC is set-up for a legitimate business that yes it is a good idea. If you are setting it up as a way of hiding money with no legitimate reason for the LLC other that to stash assets, then your LLC is pretty worthless. You must prove that those assets are for business purposes.
